Detection of human IL-13 using HTRF (an alternative to ELISA) Cisbio kit 62HIL13PEG.
Interleukin 13 plays an essential role in allergic inflammation, airway disease and asthma by regulating IgE synthesis and inducing B-cell antibody class switching. IL13 can also induce the differentiation of naive T-cells into Th2. Effect on immune cells is similar to IL4 (close secondary structures). Out of immune cells, IL13 can induce matrix metalloproesases (MMPs) in fibroblasts as a mechanism to avoid asphixation during excessive allergic inflammation. Human IL13 is produced by Th2, CD4+, Tregs, NK, mast cells, basophils, eosinophils as well as epithelial cells. After being secreted, it binds to IL13Ra1 that complexes with IL4Ra to form the type II IL4R heterocomplex which leads to activation of Jak1, Tyk2 and downstream signaling through STAT3/6. Cisbio’s Human IL13 kit is a homogeneous, add and read assay to measure IL-13 secretion in cell supernatants. It offers a fast, efficient alternative to ELISA.
This data analysis tool performs quantitative analysis of samples using a 1/y² weighted Four Parameter Logistic (4PL) curve fit. Provide your ratio calculated measurement data (665nm/620nm). Calculations are performed as follows:
1. Delta Ratio is computed for each sample using the zero standard (Zero).
2. The standard data points (Concentration vs. Delta Ratio) are plotted and the curve is fitted through the points. The concentrations of the samples are determined from the fit with any specified dilution factors applied.
3. The %CV and Standard Deviation are calculated for each replicated sample.
If the entire plate was read then supply the measured value for each well. Alternatively, if only specific parts of the plate were read then list only those measured values. In this case an additional step is required: under the Microplate section below, select or create a layout which defines which wells were read and which were not. More...
